5 interesting snippets from Marketing:The Art Of Event

Arttia Creative recently attended the  ‘Marketing: The Art Of‘ event at the Sage Gateshead which focused on the future of Digital Marketing and online strategies. From a full days conference I came away with about ten A4 pages of notes and actions which I hope to implement in my day to day online projects and to assist my clients in having a strong and beneficial online presence. It was a thoroughly exciting and interesting day which hinted at the current and future complexities of marketing your business online.

From the full day of speakers and workshops I gained an up-to-date overview of new media and marketing landscape now and for 2012. There were some great cutting edge marketing ideas and marketing strategies, which are relevant on a day to day basis.
As a quick update for the Arttia Blog I have listed five snippets of Digital Marketing  loveliness which you may find interesting.

1. A-B testing, it’s amazingly useful and informative, use it not only on website design and development, but on other digital campaigns such as email marketing.

2. Google – 75% of searchers only click on organic (natural) links. (Be cleaver with your PPC campaigns)

3. Tablet sales (for example iPad) are outstripping desktop sales (responsive website design, a must for 2012).

4. Have a mobile strategy – if more than 10% of your users are mobile, consider a bespoke mobile website or web app.

5. Email marketing – target – target – target, where are your readers in the chain of events – what role are you to them – mentor, messenger or merchant?

These are only a few small snippets of some of the information I took away from the event, I hope to post more thoughts and ideas soon.

Your website is a hub for all of your digital marketing… a focus and an flexible asset… so make your website content of the highest quality for your users.
